What we do

The NSWGCSA is a fraternal conglomerate of Professional Turf Managers, their assistants and a wide range of other turf related specialists who have a direct connection with the Golf Course Industry.

Since its inception, our aim has been to provide Course Superintendents in NSW with an Association to support and educate its members. Our directive is to foster the growth and calibre of services, recognise the needs of members, and encourage ongoing communication and engagement within the turf industry.

When the Association was formed in 1932, we were known as the New South Wales Greenkeepers Association (NSWGA); then in 1950, the NSW Golf Course Curators Association. In 1965 it was changed again to the NSW Course Managers Association and finally in 1971, the name NSW Golf Course Superintendents Association was adopted.

The NSWGCSA has grown considerably from those early days, but the objectives have remained the same, continue to provide training and educational services and a forum to share a common interest in all aspects of golf course management.
