Kurri Golf Club, is seeking an experienced Superintendent (Golf) – Head Greenkeeper to lead the maintenance, presentation and ongoing development of their golf course.
This is a key leadership role where you will work hands-on with the team, delivering high-quality playing surfaces while driving course improvements and future development projects.
About the Role
You will be responsible for the overall management of the golf course and surrounding grounds, ensuring presentation, playability and performance standards are consistently met.
This role combines both operational and administrative responsibilities, requiring a visible, hands-on leadership approach while also managing planning, reporting and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out and oversee day-to-day golf course maintenance, including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers and surrounds
Work hands-on with the team to complete mowing, course setup, turf management and general maintenance tasks
Plan and coordinate daily, weekly and seasonal maintenance programs and staff rosters
Monitor course conditions and adjust work programs to maintain high-quality playing surfaces
Lead and support the team on the ground, setting expectations and maintaining productivity
Assist in delivering course improvement, renovation and capital works projects
Operate and oversee irrigation systems to optimise turf performance
Manage and maintain machinery, equipment and course infrastructure
Ensure safe work practices and compliance with WHS and environmental requirements
Communicate effectively with management, staff and members regarding course conditions and works
About You
Certificate III (or higher) in Sports Turf Management / Greenkeeping
Proven experience in golf course maintenance, ideally with leadership responsibilities
Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team
Strong knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems and course conditioning
Experience operating and maintaining turf machinery and equipment
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in varying conditions
Strong organisational, planning and communication skills
Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365
Willingness to work a rotating weekend roster as required to ensure the course is maintained to a high standard across a 7-day operation
