Mangrove Mountain Memorial Club and Golf course is located in a picturesque hinterland setting only 15 minutes from Gosford on the Central Coast, and not far north from Sydney, with nearby access to the M1, and the Club boats some of the finest views looking out over the golf Course and surrounding countryside.
The Memorial club takes pride in the provision of Golf and \/club facilities for its members and in being an important hub for the local community with a social Club with the addition of a 9-hole Golf course.
The Clubs Board of 7 is now calling for applications for the role of Course Superintendent, someone to take the lead in organizing and maintaining the Golf course. The Club currently has a third year apprentice.
Personal attributes
\u2022 Experience in golf course, sports turf, or landscape maintenance (Turf Qualifications preferred)
\u2022 Physically fit, with a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
\u2022 Knowledge of turf grass management, irrigation systems, and pest control.
\u2022 Ability to safely and effectively operate a variety of ground maintenance equipment.
\u2022 Excellent communication and organizational skills.
\u2022 Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities
\u2022 Perform daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging of greens, fairways, tee, and roughs.
\u2022 Carry out tasks such as seeding, aeration, fertilization, and weed\/pest control.
\u2022 Operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively.
\u2022 Ensuring that all golf course maintenance tasks align with agreed internal procedures and legislated OH&S requirements
\u2022 To train & assist 3rd year apprentice
\u2022 Chemical Certification
